SUVA – The Public Service Commission (Fiji) and the Vanuatu Public Service Commission are looking at establishing a potential partnership with the Vanuatu Public Service Commission aimed at fostering mutual learning and collaboration.
This partnership will be focused on implementing exchange
programmes to ensure that the two countries learn from each other and share in
its mutual benefits.
Chairman Luke Rokovada said this partnership will be
facilitated through the Fiji Learning Institute for Public Service (FLIPS) and
the Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration and Management (VIPAM).
“These two institutions will play a key role in
organising and executing the exchange programmes,” Rokovada said.
Chairman Luke Rokovada said his recent meeting with the
team from the Vanuatu Public Service Commission is the first step in regional collaboration
for public service excellence.
PSC Chair adds that this productive meeting signifies a
proactive step towards enhancing service delivery in Fiji and Vanuatu.
“This partnership will help us enhance our ability to
better serve our people. I am glad that Fiji and Vanuatu have taken the lead
role in this endeavor,” Rokovada said.
Discussions
include the establishment of internship programs to facilitate cross-learning,
ensuring continuous capacity building and improvement.
